N2 ENERGY & PROCESS ASSESSMENT PROTOCOL
Implement CC measures
◆
Implement solutions for existing operational and comfort problems,
implement and refi ne improved operation and control schedules.
Document comfort improvements and energy savings
◆
Document all achieved improvements
Keep commissioning continuous
◆
Maintain achieved improvements and provide measured annual
energy savings.
This is very similar to the Level 0 to Level 3 of assessment as
described in the energy and process assessment protocol. It adds
however a Level 4 which intends to make the assessment process
continuous.
This appendix supplements the corresponding chapter in the
protocol by giving experiences and samples developed primarily in
annex 46 and in the frame of the project Building EQ (http://www.
buildingeq-online.net/)
N.2 What Data Should Be Measured to Allow Continuous
Commissioning
In the project Building EQ we have developed a minimal data set for continu-
ous commissioning. (See Table N1). Of course other data might be helpful too
if they are available anyway.
The consumption data allow controlling consumption and help to make
the reduction of the consumption by ECMs sustainable. The other data help
to identify the reasons for wastes and ineffi ciencies and to propose suitable
ECMs
It is important to note that all data should be available with an hourly time
resolution at least.
The preferred accuracy goals as stated in the Irish project BuildWise
are given in Table N2 (http://www.ucc.ie/en/ERI/CurrentResearchProjects/
BUILDWISE/).
