INSTRUCTIONS

Enter the name of the project for which two or more mutually exclu-

sive project alternatives are to be evaluated. The project name applies
to all alternatives.
Select the location of the project. The location entered here will deter-

mine the program’s selection of energy price escalation rates, which
vary by region as well as fuel type and rate type.
Enter the name of the analyst in charge of the study (optional).

Enter a brief description of the features and constraints of the project.

Base Date is beginning of Study Period.

Operational costs and replacement costs are timed from Service Date.

Length of Study Period includes Planning/Construction/Installation

Period and Service Period. Service Period cannot exceed 40 years in
FEMP analyses.
A project consists of two or more alternatives, one of which is the base

case.
