The Schedule Preview Control
If your iTX system includes a preview channel, you may preview the transitions at the start and
end of schedule events before iTX plays them out in a playout channel. For this, you use the
Schedule Preview Control:
You can preview a single schedule event or a group of schedule events. iTX plays out any
associated secondary events that fall within the preview period.
About the Preview Channel layout
The Schedule Preview Control appears on the Preview Channel layout, which you may display
on your iTX Desktop workstation.
This layout contains channel-selection features, together with a Timeline Display and Schedule
Grid for any selected channel. It also contains a Timeline Display and Schedule Grid for the
preview channel.
You can select events in any playout or edit channel and use the Schedule Preview Control to
copy them to the preview channel. You can then monitor the playout of these events in the
preview channel, while watching the channel output on a preview monitor.
Set the preview durations
1.
To set the preview duration for the start of the event, enter a value in the IN box; or move
the IN slider.
2.
To set the preview duration for the end of the event, enter a value in the OUT box; or
move the OUT slider.
Preview the start of a schedule event
1.
On the Preview Channel layout, select an event in a playout or edit channel.
2.
Click PVW In.
iTX plays the event in the preview channel. It plays the end of the previous event, the in-
transition and the start of the selected event.
Preview the end of a schedule event
1.
On the Preview Channel layout, select an event in a playout or edit channel.
2.
Click PVW Out.
iTX plays the event in the preview channel. It plays the end of the selected event, the out-
transition and the start of the following event.
