Searching with PinPoint
Working in the results pane
PinPoint can display search results in the results pane in either of two views:
•
In List view, it organizes the search results in a list.
•
In Thumbnail view, it displays a preview pane for each asset. A preview pane can show a
sequence of keyframes and give basic information.
You can switch between views by using the view selection buttons:
Where the search results contain many items, PinPoint presents them over multiple pages. You
can select a page at a time by using the arrow buttons below the table:
Working in List view
On each row in the results pane, you can view various details of an asset in the search results.
To show more or less information, you may adjust the width of any column by dragging its right
border.
Sort a results-list column
You can arrange the results list by sorting any column in ascending or descending order. Note
that ascending order for text is from A to Z.

Click the heading of the column you want to sort.
A pointer next to the column heading indicates the sort order.

Click the heading a second time if you want to sort the column in the reverse order.
Change the results-list column format
You can modify the arrangement of columns in the results pane: you can show more or fewer
columns; you can re-position columns.

Do the following to show or hide a column.
•
Right-click the heading of any column to display a list of available columns. A check
mark appears next to the name of a visible column.
•
From the displayed menu, select a column that you want to show or hide.

To move a column, select its heading and drag it to a new position in the heading row.
