Using Ingest Manager
Ad-hoc recordings
Ad-hoc recordings are not generated through the Scheduled Booking Service. Instead, you
decide – usually at short-notice – that you want Ingest Manager to perform a recording; you
then manually add a job for it to the recording schedule.
The standard Ingest Manager layouts
Usually you use one of two standard iTX Desktop layouts to interact with Ingest Manager.
These have the names:
• Ingest Manager
• Ingest Manager (Naming Rule)
The illustration below shows the second layout. The only difference between this and the first
one is that it contains the Naming Rule selector for ad-hoc recordings.
