The Event Editor
•
Click the red disc in the Recording column for an event in the Schedule Grid.
•
Select an event in the Schedule Grid and click Record Settings on the Event Editor.
The Record Settings dialog appears, containing the Media Viewer. This shows the message
“No Proxy or iTX locations” until the media file becomes available for previewing.

Check that the Rec button in the top, right corner flashes green and the Location box
shows the path details of the file being created.
You may open the folder that contains the media file by clicking the entry in the Location
box.

Check no error details appear in the Error box.
Note:

You may view the location details for the media file under the Locations tab of the
Property Editor on the Asset layout. The Not Ready and Recording check boxes are
selected at the start of the recording. iTX clears the Not Ready check box when the media
file becomes available for previewing; it clears the Recording check box when the
recording finishes.
Preview a recording
When the media file for a recording becomes available , you can preview it in the Record
Settings dialog.
1.
Do one of the following to display the Record Settings dialog.
•
Click the red disc in the Recording column for an event in the Schedule Grid.
•
Select an event in the Schedule Grid and click Record Settings on the Event Editor.
The Record Settings dialog appears. It contains the Media Viewer which shows the
message “Click to load”.

Click in the Media Viewer window to load the media file.
3.
Use the Media Viewer playback features to play the file.
4.
Use the Media Viewer trimming features if you want to mark in- and out-points for the
asset.
Cancel a recording
The quickest way to cancel a recording is by using the Event Editor.
1.
Select an event that is marked for recording in the Schedule Grid.
2.
Click Record Enable on the Event Editor to turn off the option. The red light in the button
indicator goes out.
3.
Click Store Changes.
The red disc is removed from the Recording column in the Schedule Grid.
