Using Ingest Manager
If the naming rule includes a free-text element, the box to the right of the Rules Available
box becomes active; this allows you to add your own text to a name. The box displays an ‘x’
for each character you can add.
Ingest Manager creates a name (based on the selected naming rule) for the resulting media
file and its clip; it enters the name in the Recording Name box.
You may edit this name if you want to.
Note:
•
If you click Clear on the Instant Ingest Request panel, Ingest Manager creates a new name
based on the selected naming rule.
Monitoring and managing scheduled recordings
On an Ingest Manager layout, you can monitor the progress of jobs in the recording schedule
by viewing information on the Timeline Display or in the Schedule Grid. You can check that
there are no problems, such as missing feeds or unavailable Encode Servers. You can delete
jobs from the recording schedule.
Since the layout gives you access to Ingest Manager services that may be shared by other users,
the layout may display information about scheduled recordings requested by any of these
users.
Recording-status colors
Ingest Manager highlights the entries in the Recording Schedule Grid different colors to show
how recording jobs are progressing; it uses the same set of colors for the blocks on the Timeline
