The Schedule Grid
Viewing information about an event
When you move your mouse pointer over an event in the Schedule Grid, iTX may display a pop-
up box, also known as a tooltip. This shows the title of the item in the event, the event start
time, its duration, its location and its status.
Note:
•
Tooltips are not displayed by default; you can switch them on by changing a setting in the
Schedule Display Setup dialog.
Preventing schedule underruns and overruns
When an event with a fixed start time appears in a schedule, iTX compares the start time of this
event with the end time of the preceding event. It then notes if the timings of the two events
cause an overrun or underrun of the schedule.
In an overrun, the second event is due to start before the first one finishes; in an underrun,
there is a gap between the end of the first event and the start of the second event. Normally,
you do not want either of these situations to happen in a schedule.
The Schedule Grid can display warnings of potential underruns or overruns, as this illustration
shows:
You can then modify the schedule to ensure there is a continuous series of events.
Note:
•
You may need to set up the Schedule Grid to display underrun and overrun warnings.
