PF7000 in Download Mode
To place the drive in download mode, you should be in the UTILITY –
TRANSFER screen. You will not be able to do this if the drive is running. Stop
the drive, and press E-Stop. This is just a precaution, as all versions of firmware
7.xxx and later will prevent a download while running.

Press [F9] for SYSTEM, and a screen will appear telling you that you are in
download mode.
There is also a status LED labeled D1 on the DPM, which provides indication of
the programming process. The following illustrates the states of the LED:
• Solid Green – the Application firmware is running. The system is not in
Download mode.
• Green .25Hz – the board is in download mode.
• Green .5Hz – the board is in download mode and is currently being
flashed with new firmware.
After putting the drive in download mode, the terminal displays a message:
“SYSTEM IS IN DOWNLOAD MODE
Connect your PC to DPM data port
And download new firmware.
Press any Key to Continue …”
If you press any key after this message the PanelView displays a
“COMMUNICATION ERROR” message.
