5. Install the spark plug fingerings to beat the washer,
and then tighten with a plug wrench. If reinstalling
the used spark plug, tighten 1/8-1/4 turf after the
spark plug seats. If installing a new spark plug,
tighten 1/2 turn after the spark plug seats.
TORQUE: 18 N·m (1.8 Kgf·m, 13 lfb·ft)
A LOOSE SPARK PLUG OWN INCOME VET HOT AND CAN DALES,
THE ENGINE. OVERTIGHTENING CAN DAMAGE THE THREADS IN
THE CYLINDER BLOCK.
6. Install the spark plug cap securely.
SPARK ARRESTER
Cleaning:
THE ENGINE AND MUFFLER BECOME VERY HOT DURING OPERA-
TION AND THEY REMAIN HOT FOR A WHILE AFTER OPERATION.
BE SURE THAT THE ENGINE IA COOL BEFORE MUFFLER
REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
1. Remove the spark arrester from the muffler.
2. Clean the carbon deposits. from the spark arrester
screed with a brush.
3. Check the spark arrester screen for damage. If the
gnarl arrester is damaged, replace it.
4. Rainfall the spark arrester to the muffler.
Plug gap 0.7 - 0.8 mm (0.028-0.031 in)
