OIL LEVEL SWITCH INSPECTION
Disconnect the engine wire harness from the oil level
switch.
Check continuity between the switch terminal and engine
ground.There should be no continuity when the engine is
full of oil.
Drain the engine oil completely.
Check continuity between the switch terminal and engine
ground.There should be continuity.
Check continuity between the switch terminals while filling
the engine oil.The ohmmeter reading should go from con-
tinuity to no continuity as the oil is filled.
If the correct continuity is not obtained, replace the oil
level switch.
ENGINE STOP SWITCH INSPECTION
Remove the engine stop switch connectors.
Check continuity between the terminals at each switch
position.
If the correct continuity is not obtained, replace the engine
stop switch.
COMBINATION SWITCH INSPECTION
With Circuit Protector Check continuity between the termi-
nals at each switch position. If the correct continuity is not
obtained, replace the combination switch.
