If the project has not been saved, the Save As dialog appears.
Note: If the project has been saved, the project file is updated without opening a dialog.
2 Enter a name into the Save As field, choose a location on your hard disk to save the file, then
click Save.
Save a duplicate of a project
1 Choose File > Save As (or press Shift-Command-S).
The Save As dialog appears.

Save a project and copy all project media into a folder
1 Choose File > Save As (or press Shift-Command-S).
The Save As dialog appears.
2 Choose Copy to Folder from the Collect Media pop-up menu.
Motion creates a folder with the name specified in the Save As field and places two items in the
folder:
•
A project file with the same name as the folder
•
A folder named “Media,” which contains all media files used in the project
When you save a project and collect media into a folder, you can specify whether unused media
files are collected as well.
Important: When using the Save As command, use a name that is different from the name of any
saved versions of the same project. Otherwise, you run the risk of overwriting a version of this
project file you want to keep.
