Power Save Mode
Power save mode is only accessable using SIS commands. By default, power save mode is
disabled. For information on how to enable power save mode, see "
page 142.
When enabled, power save mode monitors the activity of the SME 100. Power save mode
begins when no device activity is detected for seven minutes. In power save mode, different
subsystems of the SME 100 power down, such as the front panel backlight and decoders.
The processor stays active and monitors for activity. If activity is detected, the SME 100
powers up the subsystems that were powered down.
The SME 100
does not enter power save mode when:
•
A user is logged into the SME 100 (using a web browser or terminal window)
•
A stream is active
•
The front panel buttons are used
•
SIS commands are being received
