The term “router” in this document refers to a router in a generic sense or a Layer 3 switch.

The WX6103 access controller switch interface board supports only static routing, RIP, and OSPF
routing protocols.
z
The WX6103 access controller switch interface board supports only Ethernet link layer protocols.
Therefore, the OSPF interface type can only be broadcast because other types are not supported.
Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) is a link state interior gateway protocol developed by the OSPF
working group of the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF). At present, OSPF version 2 (RFC2328) is
used.
