Bandwidth Allocation Group Parameters

Explanations of the parameters follow the table.

Group "n" Percentage

is a percentage of bandwidth that will be dedicated to traffic in a group if necessary.
If the traffic does not require the full allocation, unused bandwidth will be available to
other groups.

The total percentage assigned to all sixteen groups can be greater than 100%. This
allows allocating 100% to, for example, four or five groups that will be used for a par-
ticular type of traffic, and 100% to another few groups, and so on. Since usage obvi-
ously cannot exceed 100%, any allocation of greater than 100% will be treated as
100%, with the percentages assigned to the affected groups treated as relative per-
centages. For example, assume that Group 1 is assigned 60%, Group 2 is assigned
70%, and both groups are assigned to IP interfaces. Under a full traffic load, Group 1
