Replace fuse and
troubleshoot
harness.
Replace boom
sensor switch.
Not OK If OK
Adjust switch to
acquire gap.
Verify power at
boom sensor switch.
Not OK If OK

stays ON with boom
below 40°.

Before troubleshooting any
electrical circuit, ALWAYS
begin by checking the
following:
1. Boom below 40°.
2. Transmission shifter in
NEUTRAL.
3. Park Brake OFF.
Check boom sensor
connections.
Stabil-TRAK™
Indicator
Repair connections
as needed.
Not
OK
Check if boom sensor
LED is ON.
If OK
Not
OK
Check boom sensor to boom
gap is .12" (3 mm).
Unplug boom switch
relay and indicator light
should go OFF.
If OK
Troubleshoot
harness for short to
B+ in locked circuit.
Check wires
40 (BRN/BLK),
40A (BRN/BLK),
40B (BRN/BLK) and
48 (PUR/BLK).
Replace boom
switch relay.
Not OK If OK
