II-1 Survey
The engineering tool for KS 98-1 enables the user to make an engineering which is specially tailored for his applicati -
on. The engineering tool mainly comprises a function block editor supported by the IEC 1131-3 standards.
The engineering tool offers the following functions:
w By selection from a menu, functions can be selected and placed in the working window.
w Outputs and inputs can be connected graphically.
w When shifting functions, the connections are dragged.
w Function configuration and parameter setting.
w Downloading of the engineering into KS 98-1.
w Adjustment management.
w Long-term storage of various engineerings on hard disk or floppy.
Coupling the PC with the KS 98-1 multifunction unit is done via an RS232/TTL adaptor cable, which can be ordered se -
parately ( order number : 9407 998 00001).
