SIN (sinus function (No. 80))

y

x

1

sin 1)

=

(

The function provides the sinus of the input value, i.e.

x1 is the angle the sinus of which is calculated.

Parameter

Select is used to adjust, if the angle is provided in degree of angle [°] or in radian.

The calculation clarity can be reached by limiting the input signal (e.g. to the 1st or 4th quadrant ( _90° / _

ó

/

2

)). Inter-

nal limiting is not provided. If input value

x1 is out of the range in which the sinus function can still provide purpose-

ful values, output

y1 is set to 1,5 w 10

37

.

Example degree of angle:
y1= sin(x1) x1 = 30°

=

y1 = 0,5

Example radian:
y1= sin(x1) x1 = 90rad

=

y1 = 0,89399666

Parameter

Description

Controller display

Select

Unit: degree of angle (default)

Ang. deg

Unit: radian

Radian

1 rad = 180°/у = 57,296°
1 ° = у/180° = 0,017453 rad

Control with the pocket calculator:
The function for the calculation in "rad" with the pocket calculator is limited to e.g. ±8 ó.
r 90/ ó = 28,6479: sin ( 0,6479 w ó) = 0,893996664
Also during input in "°" usually a limitation is effective in the pocket calculator (e.g. < 1440°)!

COS (cosinus function (No. 81))

y

x

1

cos 1)

=

(

The function provides the cosinus of the input value, i.e.

x1 is the angle the cosinus of which is calculated.

Parameter

Select is used to adjust, if the angle is provided in degree of angle [°] or in radian.
