7.4 Control Parameters
General control parameters
General control parameters
1
Settings
Suppressing printer output: With the PRINTA command in the NC program you can output data to a printer
(see also control parameter 40).
0: Suppress the output
1: Enable the output
Metric / Inches: Setting for the unit of measure.
0: Metric
1: Inches
Format of the position displays (actual value displays).
0: Format 4.3 (4 integral, 3 decimal places)
1: Format 3.4 (3 integral, 4 decimal places)
Notes:
With DIN PLUS programs, the unit of measure defined in the program head is decisive — regardless of the
unit of measure set here.
Restart the CNC PILOT whenever you have changed the unit of measure.

Settings for load monitoring
Calculation of limit values: Limit value = reference value * factor for limit value
Evaluation: Load monitoring
Factor of torque limit 1
Factor of torque limit 2
Factor of working limit value
Minimum torque [% of rated torque]: Reference values below this value are raised to this minimum torque
value. This prevents that limit values are exceeded as a result of minor torque differences.
Maximum file size [KB]: If the data during measured value registration exceed the maximum file size, the
“oldest” values are overwritten.
Rule of thumb: One component requires approx. 12 KB per minute of program run time.
10
Post-process measuring
Evaluation: Post-process measuring
Switching measurement on/off
0: Post-process measurement off
1: Post-process measurement on. The CNC PILOT is ready to receive data.
Type of measurement
1: Post-process measuring
Measured value coupling
0: New measured values overwrite old measured values.
1: New measured values are not received until the old measured values are evaluated.
Note: In control parameters 40, ..., the serial interface is selected and the interface parameters are defined.
