Machining attributes – Separation point
The attribute defines a position on the contour as the separation point.
Separation points are used for shaft machining and for machining with
more than one setup.
Assign the separation point:
U
Select “Attribute > Separation point” in the finished part menu.
U
Select the contour element. TURN PLUS opens the “Separation
point” dialog box.
U
Define the exact position of the separation point (end point of the
element or position on the element). Alternatively, delete a defined
separation point.
Attributes – Exclusion from machining
The “Exclusion from machining” attribute is evaluated by the AWG.
The effect depends on the type of machining:
Roughing: The attribute is evaluated with the first/last element of
an inside/outside contour. Form elements are not machined.
Finishing: Marked elements are not finished.
Predrilling: The attribute is ignored.
Recessing: Marked recesses are not machined.
Thread machining: Marked thread elements are not finished and
the thread is not cut.
Centering: Marked holes (form elements) are not drilled.
Drilling: Marked holes for C/Y machining are not machined.
Milling: Marked milling contours for C/Y machining are not
machined.
