Attributes – Feed rate
The “Feed rate” and “Feed rate reduction” attributes influence the
finishing feed rate.
Assign the feed-rate attribute:
U
Select “Attribute > Feed/Peak-to-valley > Feed rate” in the finished
part menu.
U
Select the entire contour, a contour section or individual contour
elements (see “Selections” on page 448).
U
TURN PLUS opens the “Feed rate” dialog box.
U
Define the feed rate. The input value is considered the finishing feed
rate.
Assign the feed-rate reduction attribute:
U
Select “Attribute > Feed/Peak-to-valley > Feed rate reduction” in
the finished part menu.
U
Select the entire contour, a contour section or individual contour
elements (see “Selections” on page 448).
U
TURN PLUS opens the “Feed rate reduction” dialog box.
U
Define the feed rate reduction. The input value is multiplied by the
current feed rate.
Attributes – Peak-to-valley
The peak-to-valley attribute is evaluated in finishing cycles. TURN
PLUS differentiates between:
Peak-to-valley (profile depth) (Rt)
Mean peak-to-valley (Ra)
Mean peak-to-valley height (Rz)
Assign the peak-to-valley attribute:
U
Select “Attribute > Feed/Peak-to-valley > Peak-to-valley Rt” (or
“Mean peak-to-valley Ra” or “Mean peak-to-valley height Rz”) in the
finished part menu.
U
Select the entire contour, a contour section or individual contour
elements (see “Selections” on page 448).
U
TURN PLUS opens the corresponding dialog box.
U
Define the peak-to-valley specifications.
