Editing variables
For complex NC programs with branches, variable calculations,
events, etc., you simulate all inputs and events to test all program
branches.
Editing variable values:
U
Select “Debug > Edit variables > Edit all V variables”: The simulation
opens the “Edit V variables” dialog box:
U
The “Edit V variables” dialog box:
Setting the variable type and variable number
Preset the value or the event
Define the status (see following list)
Meaning of the status (“Edit V variables” dialog box):
Undefined: No value/event is assigned to variable. That is the same
as the condition after the NC program start. During simulation of an
NC block with this variable, the simulation prompts you to enter the
value/the event.
Defined: During simulation of an NC block with this variable, the
entered value/event is adopted.
Request: Each time an NC block containing the variable is
simulated, the system requests the variable value/event.
Deleting variable values:
U
Select “Debug > Edit variables > Delete all xx variables”: The
simulation deletes the variables or events. The xx stands for:
V variables
D compensation variables
Event variables
Machine dimension variables
Tool variables
