Calling a tool
The “Tool” menu item is only available after you have selected the
machining mode. The submenu items have the following meanings:
Manually via turret assignment: Select a tool positioned on the
turret.
Manually via tool type: Select a tool from the database and
position it on the turret.
From last machining process: The IWG selects the tool used for
the last machining operation.
Manually via tool type/ID number: Select a tool from the
database and position it on the turret.
Automatic: The IWG selects and positions the tool on the turret. –
Prerequisite: The machining range has been defined.
Cutting data
After selecting the tool, check/optimize the technology data.
Depending on the material to be machined, TURN PLUS determines
the cutting data using the tool data (cutting material) from the
technology database. Check/optimize the suggested values.

Coolant
Yes: TURN PLUS generates M commands for switching the
coolant circuits ON/OFF.
No: TURN PLUS generates no M commands for switching the
coolant circuits ON/OFF.
“Define cooling circuit” button: Opens the “Cooling circuits” dialog
box. Define the coolant circuits used.
