Arranging Text on the Page
You can resize and reposition text and metadata boxes on the page. You must first
select the Edit Layout button to enable changing the page format. When you click
boxes to select them, the boxes show handles that you can drag to resize the boxes.
You can also drag the contents of a box to move the box to a new position.
To arrange text on the page:

Click the Edit Layout button, if it’s not already selected.

Select the page you want to work on in the Pages pane.

Select the text box you want to move or resize.

Drag the box to a new location, or drag a handle on the selected box to change the
image’s size.
Changing the Number of Columns of Text
You can change a text box so that it’s formatted to hold from one to four columns of text.
To change the number of text columns in a text box:

Click the Edit Layout button, if it’s not already selected.

Select the text box.

Choose Text Box Columns from the Book Action pop-up menu, then choose the
number of columns you want from the submenu.

If necessary, resize the text box to better accommodate the changed column layout of
the box.
Removing Text Boxes from a Page
After creating a page and applying a master page design, you may want to remove one
or more text boxes from the page. You can choose a different master page design that
has fewer text boxes, or you can manually select and remove text boxes.
To remove text or metadata boxes from a page:

Click the Edit Layout button.

Select the text or metadata box you want to remove, then choose Edit > Cut
Content (or press Delete).
