Entering I, J, K incrementally

If you enter the circle center with incremental
coordinates, you have programmed it relative to the
last programmed position of the tool.

• The circle center I, J, K also serves as the pole for polar coordinates.

• The only effect of I, J, K is to define a position as a circle center — the tool does

not move to the position.

To program a circle center (pole):

Select the first circle center designation, for example I.

Enter the coordinate, for example I = 20 mm.

Select the second circle center designation, for example J.

Enter the coordinate, for example J = –10 mm.

Resulting NC block: I+20 J–10 *
