Circles and circular arcs

Here the TNC moves two axes simultaneously in a
circular path relative to the workpiece.

Circle center I, J, K

You can define the circle center for circular move-
ment.

A circle center also serves as reference (pole) for
polar coordinates.

Direction of rotation

When a circular path has no tangential transition to
another contour element, enter the mathematical
direction of rotation:

• Clockwise direction of rotation is mathematically

negative: G02

• Counterclockwise direction of rotation is

mathematically positive: G03
