SPANNING-TREE MODE
Syntax
spanning-tree mode stp|rstp|mstp
no spanning-tree mode
Parameters
stp Specifies IEEE 801.Q Spanning-tree protocol (STP).
mstp Specifies IEEE 801.s Multiple Spanning-tree protocol (MSTP).
rstp Specifies IEEE 801.w rapid Rapid Spanning-tree protocol
(RSTP).
Description
Use the SPANNING-TREE MODE command to specify the active
Spanning Tree Protocol and enable it on the switch.

Example
The following command sets the active spanning tree mode to RSTP and
enables this mode on the switch:
switch#configure terminal
switch(config)#spanning-tree mode rstp
