Refer to Appendix D for a description of ASCII character formatting.
3. Printing Test Records
The 601PRO is equipped with a parallel printer port that allows the instrument to be
connected to a compatible external printer for full-format printing of test results. In
addition, an optional internal printer allows for simple documentation of test results.
Refer to the Accessories list in Chapter 1 for information on ordering a D25M-C36M
parallel printer cable for use with an external printer or additional rolls of paper for
the optional internal printer.
Printing can be performed during testing in the
Auto, Step
, or
Manual
modes. If an
external printer is attached, and control numbers are assigned to test records, a
Summary Report of all data gathered during
Auto
or
Step
mode testing could be
saved and printed.
In
Manual
mode tests, pressing the
print data
key sends a description of the present
test and its associated measurement to the specified printer. During
Auto
or
Step
mode, test results can be automatically printed at the conclusion of the test.
In
Manual
mode tests or while in the
Main Menu
, pressing the
print header
key
provides a header that the operator may use to enter the date, time, and device
information.
Refer to Appendix C for information on printer maintenance.
