Shortcut Key 9: IEC 1010 Accessible Voltage/Leakage Test
The Accessible Voltage and Leakage Tests are both accessible using Shortcut Key 9.
The tests cannot be selected from the
Manual
menu unless the IEC 1010 test standard
is selected.
Important:
The Accessible Voltage and Leakage test uses the IEC 1010 Test Load
exclusively. This is true no matter what the currently defined test
standard is.
Accessible Voltage
Accessible Voltage measurements are taken from the RED input lead referenced to
the Protective Earth terminal on the Mains Inlet. Accessible Voltage cannot be
selected from the
Manual
menu unless the IEC 1010 test standard is selected.
The following outlet conditions apply when performing this test:
⇒ Normal Polarity, Earth Open, Outlet ON
⇒ Normal Polarity, Outlet ON
⇒ Normal Polarity, L2 Open, Outlet ON
⇒ Reversed Polarity, Outlet ON
⇒ Reversed Polarity, Earth Open, Outlet ON
⇒ Reversed Polarity, L2 Open, Outlet ON
To measure Accessible Voltage using the
test-shortcut
keys:
• From the
MAIN MENU
, or with the outlet unpowered, plug the DUT into the
601PRO front panel outlet, and turn on the device.
• Attach the RED lead to exposed metal on the enclosure of the DUT.
• Press
shortcut key 9
. The
Accessible Voltage
test appears on the display, and
the test begins immediately. Display values are continuously updated until
another test is selected.
