Shortcut Key 5: Enclosure Leakage Test
Run an Enclosure Leakage test on the device being tested before performing any
leakage tests.
Leakage current is measured the following ways:
♦ Enclosure Leakage, leakage current measured from RED input jack to DUT
outlet Earth.
♦ Enclosure Leakage AP-EARTH (ALL Applied Parts connected to Earth),
leakage current measured from RED input jack to DUT outlet Earth.
The following outlet conditions apply when performing this test:
⇒ Normal Polarity, Earth Open, Outlet ON
⇒ Normal Polarity, Outlet ON
⇒ Normal Polarity, L2 Open, Outlet ON
⇒ Reversed Polarity, Outlet ON
⇒ Reversed Polarity, Earth Open, Outlet ON
⇒ Reversed Polarity, L2 Open, Outlet ON
To perform an
Enclosure Leakage
test in a single lead mode:
• From the
MAIN MENU
, or with the outlet unpowered, plug the DUT into the
601PRO front panel outlet, and turn on the device.
• Attach the RED test lead from the 601PRO to the device. A bare exposed metal
area should be selected.
• Attach the device's applied parts to the 601PRO applied part terminals if
applicable.
