1. Connecting the 601PRO and the Host Computer
The serial port parameters of the 601PRO and those of the computer’s
communication program must match. Modify the 601PRO’s baud rate at the
RS232
menu.
• From the
MAIN MENU
, press
SYSTEM SETUP
,
then RS232
.
• At the
RS232 Settings
menu, press a
SOFT KEY
to select a baud rate:

• Press
enter
to return to the
MAIN MENU

Note: The communication program must have RTS/CTS
handshaking selected or large file and higher baud rate
transfers will fail.
• Power DOWN the 601PRO and the host computer.
• Attach one end of the serial cable to the back panel of the 601PRO.
• Attach the other end of the cable to the COM1 or COM2 port on the host
computer.
• Power up the host computer and the 601PRO.
• Load the computer’s communication program and enable it to receive (and
save in a file if desired) the information about to be sent from the 601PRO.
