2. Executing Auto and Step Mode Tests
Based on the Test Standard, Class, Type and Number of Leads selected, the 601PRO
will perform the required tests in the controlled power sequence described in
Section 3: Refer to Test Limits for the Selected Standard (Chapter 8). If zero leads
are defined, no tests requiring leads will be performed. If only one lead is defined,
those tests requiring lead to lead measurements will be skipped.
Press the
esc/stop
key to abort the
Auto
or
Step
sequence at any time. Once the
esc/stop
key has been pressed, the unit may complete the test it is presently
executing before aborting.
When performing an
Auto
mode test sequence that includes Protective Earth
Resistance, the testing will pause after completion of the Protective Earth
measurement and allow the operator to adjust any connections. Press
NEXT->
to
continue the sequence (see below).
Whenever an
Auto
sequence is executed that includes a Protective Earth Resistance
Test, the operator can take as many Protective Earth Resistance readings as desired
by pressing the
START TEST
soft key. The last reading taken is the one saved. Only
the last reading taken is used for a Pass/Fail determination.
