Auto/Step Modes
This chapter provides an overview of 601PRO
Auto
and
Step
mode sequences. The
Auto
or
Step
sequence performs all electrical safety tests required based on the Standard,
Class, and Type designated at the start of the test. Chapter 8, Standards and Principles,
provides a complete list and the order of execution of tests, which are detailed in Section
3: Refer to Test Limits for the Selected Standard. The operator may either recall a Device
Record based on its control number if Device Records were selected at setup, or a
Template based on its name if Templates were selected at setup, or use the instrument’s
present settings to execute a sequence.
☛ Note:
The 601PRO allows the operator to make multiple measurements for the
enclosure leakage test while executing an
Auto
sequence. This allows the
operator to probe the DUT and find the highest reading before
continuing. Chapter 2, Setting Up the 601PRO, provides information for
enabling this feature in Section 7: Configure Enclosure Leakage for Auto
Mode Sequence.
