loopback [dce | dte | line | remote | none]
Use the loopback command to initiate or remove a loopback.
Syntax Description
dce Initiates a loopback on the DCE.
dte Initiates a loopback on the DTE.
line Initiates a local line loopback.
remote Initiates a remote line loopback.
none Removes an active loopback.
Default Values
By default, no loopbacks are active.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 5000 Series units.

Usage Examples
The following example initiates a local line loopback on the HSSI interface:
(config)#interface hssi 1/1
(config-hssi 1/1)#loopback line
