spanning-tree mode [rstp | stp]
Use the spanning-tree mode command to choose a spanning-tree mode of operation.
Syntax Description
rstp
Enables rapid spanning-tree protocol.
stp
Enables spanning-tree protocol.
Default Values
By default, spanning-tree mode is set to rstp.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 300, 1000, 1000R, 3000, 4000, and 5000 and Total Access 900
Series units.

Usage Examples
The following example sets the spanning-tree mode to rapid spanning-tree protocol:
(config)#spanning-tree mode rstp
