set ip default next-hop
Use the set ip default next-hop command to specify an IP address for the next hop if there is no explicit
route destination. The default next hop is used if no specific route to the destination has been defined. Use
the no form of this command to cancel the default next hop.
Syntax Description
Specifies the default IP address for the next hop.
Default Values
No default value necessary for this command.
Applicable Platforms
This command applies to the NetVanta 2000 and 5000 Series, and Total Access 900 Series units.

The following example sets the default interface for the next hop as 10.10.11.254:
