3. Refer to the AP-71xx System Settings field to define the following parameters:
System Name
Assign a System Name to define a title for this access point. The System Name
is useful if multiple devices are being administered.
Country
Select the Country for the Brocade Mobility 7131N-FGR Access Point’s country
of operation. The access point prompts for the correct country code on the first
login. A warning message also displays stating an incorrect country setting
may result in illegal radio operation. Selecting the correct country is central to
legally operating the access point. Each country has its own regulatory
restrictions concerning electromagnetic emissions and the maximum RF
signal strength that can be transmitted. To ensure compliance with national
and local laws, set the country accurately. Refer to
page 564 for the two character country codes.
Time Server
Optionally enter the IP address of the server used to provide system time to
the Brocade Mobility 7131N-FGR Access Point within the Time Server field.
Once the IP address is entered, the Brocade Mobility 7131N-FGR Access
Point’s Network Time Protocol (NTP) functionality is engaged automatically.
With the
Brocade Mobility 7131N-FGR Access Point
, a VPN tunnel is
established using the NTP server.
on page 88 for information on setting alternate time
servers and setting a synchronization interval for the Brocade Mobility
7131N-FGR Access Point to adjust its displayed time.
WIPS Servers
Define a primary and alternate WIPS server IP Address for WIPS Server 1 and
2. These are the addresses of the primary and secondary WIPS console server.
WIPS support requires an AirDefense WIPS Server on the network. WIPS
functionality is not provided by the access point alone. The access point works
in conjunction with the dedicated WIPS server(s).
