The interface is linked to the external PC by direct
electrical connection. This may lead to interference in the
interface, resulting from different power-supply reference
levels.
Precautions:
„ If possible, use the service jack on the machine for the
PC.
„ Engage/disengage the connection only when the
machine and PC are switched off.
„ The cable length must not exceed 20 m (66 ft). Use even
shorter cables if there is strong electromagnetic
interference.
„ Recommendation: Use an adapter with electrical
isolation.
