Linear slot, face G791
G791 mills a slot from the current tool position to the end point. The
slot width equals the diameter of the milling cutter. Oversizes are not
taken into account.
Parameters
X diameter
—end point of slot
C end angle
—end point of slot—for angle direction, see graphic
support window
XK end point
of slot (Cartesian coordinates)
YK end point
of slot (Cartesian coordinates)
K length
of slot—referenced to the cutter center
A angle
of slot—reference: see graphic support window
Z milling floor
J milling depth
J is defined: The tool approaches to safety clearance and then
mills the slot.
J is not defined: The milling cycle starts from the tool position.
P maximum infeed
(default: Total depth in one infeed)
F feed rate
for infeed (default: Active feed rate)
Possible parameter combinations for definition of the end point:
Diameter X, end angle C
End point XK, YK
Slot length K, angle A
Notes:
Rotate the spindle to the desired angle position before calling G791.
If you use a spindle positioning device (no C axis), an axial slot is
machined centrically to the rotary axis.
