Selecting the measurement target surface (one
surface)
The procedure used to select one measurement
target surface is explained as follows.
1
Select [OUTPUT] from [OUT1] or [OUT2] on
the program mode screen.
The screen appears for setting the output.
2
Select [DISTANCE] on [MEASUREMENT].
The displacement of an opaque object is to be
measured in this example.
3
Press the [ENTER] button on [SELECT
SURFACE].
The screen for selecting the target surface appears.
4
Select [MAX] by using the [
▲] and [▼] buttons.
Select the highest light intensity peak in this
example.
5
Press the [ENTER] button.
The measurement target surface is fixed.
• The graph of the selected surface is displayed in
green when its value exceeds the light intensity level.
• The highest and the second-highest peaks of light
intensity among the non-selected peaks are
displayed in white, and ones lower than those
(among non-selected) are in gray.
Reference
+1P, +2P, +3P, +4P
–1P, –2P, –3P, –4P
The measurement targets are all values of the light
intensity peak that exceed the light intensity level.
The surfaces are measured as +1P, +2P, +3P and
+4P in order of distance to the measuring unit. The
surface nearest to the measuring unit is +1P. Also in
order of distance, the surfaces are measured as
–1P, –2P, –3P and –4P. The surface furthest from the
measuring unit is –1P. You can select any target
surface and measure it.
