Light Intensity Screen
The value, which is set as a threshold for the
amount of light to be measured or not, is called
the light intensity level.
The light intensity level is set by using the [t] and
[s] buttons to move the vertical yellow cursor on the
light intensity screen.
On the light intensity screen, the light intensity level is
displayed in [LVL] and the received light intensity is
displayed in [INT].

Select the measurement target surfaces from the
four highest values of light intensity.
The procedure for setting the measurement target
surface is explained as follows.

Select [M1] (measurement target surface 1) by
pressing the [ENTER] button on the light
intensity screen.
The cursor is placed on [M1].

When [MEASUREMENT] is set to [
ΔSLANT] or
[THICKNESS], select measurement target
surface 1 or 2 by using the [t] or [s] button.
When [MEASUREMENT] is set to [DISTANCE] or
[SLANT], only the measurement target surface 1
can be set and you may skip this procedure.
Refer to "MEASUREMENT" (page 3-10).

Select the measurement target using the [
▲]
and [
▼] buttons.

Press the [ENTER] button.
The measurement target surface is fixed.
