OPTIONAL Settings
The LT-9001 Series has two types of gains to receive
the light intensity. You can choose one from the
following two options.
• STANDARD
: Measures the target
with the standard
gain.
• HI GAIN (High sensitivity)
: Measures the target
with higher gain.
It is recommended to measure the target with the
[STANDARD] gain if there is no problem with the
measurement. With [HI GAIN], the gain of the noise
element is also increased and that may cause the
unstable measurement.
If the light intensity is saturated, the measurement
become unstable.
The procedure used to set the sensitivity setting is as
follows.

Select [GAIN] from [OPTIONAL] on the
program mode screen.
The screen appears for setting the sensitivity.

Select [GAIN].

Select [STANDARD] or [HI GAIN] by using the
[
▲] and [▼] buttons.

Press the [ENTER] button.
The sensitivity setting is fixed.
Note
GAIN (Sensitivity)
Performs settings for the control I/O on the back
of the controller.
The LT-9001 Series has two types of I/O setting as
follows.
"Control I/O" (page 7-3)
The procedure used to set the I/O is explained as
follows.

Select [I/O] from [OPTIONAL] on the program
mode screen.
The screen appears for setting up the I/O.

Select [I/O].

Select [BINARY] or [JUDGMENT] by using the
[
▲] and [▼] buttons.

Press the [ENTER] button.
The I/O setting is fixed.
BINARY
Outputs the measured value in 21-bit binary
number.

JUDGMENT
Outputs the determination whether or not the
measured value is within the tolerance.
