Retaining Serial Port Settings
Retaining Serial Port Settings
Once serial port settings are entered or updated, UniConfig can be directed to remember the most
current settings entered. (See
Entering Initial Serial and Ethernet Settings on page 26.) Serial port
settings are the ‘Comm port’ and ‘Baud rate’ that display in the ‘Serial Communication’ dialog box
as shown:

How to Retain the Most Current Serial Communication Settings
1 Launch UniConfig. (See Launching UniConfig on page 9.)
2 Select a control card. (See Selecting a Control Card on page 10.)
3 From the menu bar, select ‘Tools > Options’. The ‘Configuration Options’ dialog box appears:

4 Check the ‘Retain serial port settings’ check box. By default this box is checked.
5 Click OK to save changes and close the dialog box.

Cancel
to close the dialog box without saving changes.
6 Repeat steps 2 through 5 for each control card being updated.
