18. Managing Protocols

Using UniConfig, the protocols and currently being used by the control card can be read, updated
and saved. Protocols and other software components are stored in Flash memory on the control
card. For information on compatible control card protocols, contact Technical Support. For contact
information, see

on page iii.

Protocols are embedded in files, listed as APP or PLD in the ‘Configuration’ window. Only one
APP file is permitted per router type.

Viewing Protocols and Applications

Protocols and other software components currently loaded on a control card are listed in the ‘Con-
figuration’ window. There are two settings for viewing: Basic or Detailed.

How to View the Software List Using the ‘Basic’ Setting

1 Launch UniConfig. (See

2 Select a control card. (See

3 From the menu bar, select ‘Windows > Configuration’. The ‘Configuration’ window appears:
