Setting Up EC9535 Partitions
Individual partitions can be created to manage signal switching for the SMS7000 system controller.
Signals can only be switched within a partition, not across partitions. Partitions are typically based
on signal types. (See
About Partitions on page 49.)
For the EC9535 GSC Node Bus Converter there is only one partition or “level”.
How to Set Up Partitions for an EC9535
1 Launch UniConfig. (See Launching UniConfig on page 9.)
2 Select a control card. (See Selecting a Control Card on page 10.)
3 From the menu bar, select ‘Windows > Configuration’. The ‘Configuration’ window appears:

4 Click
Read All
. The ‘Configuration’ window populates with the current router configuration and
Ethernet settings. If no prior configuration is stored, many of the fields are blank.
5 To set up a partition, enter ‘Level’, ‘Physical Inputs’, ‘Controller Inputs’, ‘Physical Outputs’
and ‘Controller Output’ information in the fields provided. Each row represents one partition
(called ‘Level’ on the interface) in the router control system. The EC9535 has only one partition
