16. Removing Locks
Configuration locks are set using the router control system. When locked, a switching configura-
tion cannot be changed until it is unlocked. This function is useful in avoiding accidental changes
to switching configurations.
Locks
When a switching configuration is locked, it cannot be changed until unlocked. A lock stops all
commands entered in UniConfig from being applied to the selected switching configuration. This
ensures that unintended changes are not made. Locks are applied through the router control system,
not UniConfig. However, using UniConfig, a lock can be removed.
How to Remove a Lock
1 Launch UniConfig. (See

3 In the ‘Connections’ window, in the same row listing the input and output which are locked,
click in the ‘LPR’ column. The mark disappears indicating that the input/output is unlocked.
Or
From the menu bar, select ‘Actions > System > Clear > All Locks and Protects’ to remove all
locks.
4 To close the ‘Connections’ window, click
X
in the upper, right-hand corner.
