2. Introduction
Supported Routers
UniConfig Version
This document describes UniConfig version 8.3.0 communicating with a control card running cur-
rent firmware under Miranda protocol. Your specific version of UniConfig and control card firm-
ware/protocol may be very different. As a result not all features or functions detailed in this guide
may be available on your system. Contact Miranda Technical Support for information on obtaining
the latest versions of UniConfig and firmware for your situation. See

Upgrading matrix control card firmware is only recommended if a specific feature or function you
require is not provided by your current version. In some cases new hardware may be required to run
the very latest firmware revision.
Supported Routers
UniConfig currently supports the following NVISION routers:
The NV3512 expandable digital audio router, the NV3064 multi-format router, and the NV6000
series routers are not covered by this User’s Guide. Please contact Miranda Technical Support for

UniDiag
UniDiag is a legacy configuration application released prior to UniConfig. The NV3128 machine
control router and the NV3256 machine control router use UniDiag. UniDiag has limited function-
ality and not all UniConfig procedures and functions apply directly to UniDiag. If configuring an
older, legacy router (such as the NV3000 series), please contact Miranda Technical Support. See
Technical Support Contact Information on page iii.
