USB Interface Connection/Driver Installation
The USB interface only allows the connection to a PC.
Using the USB interface requires the USB driver software to be installed. Follow the procedure below.
Notes on Installing the Driver Software
• The supported operating systems are Windows 8/7/Vista/XP/2000.
• Do not turn on the PC with the DV-90 connected to the USB port of the PC while the USB
driver for the DV-90 is not installed. Otherwise, the driver installation begins while Windows
is launching, preventing the installation from proceeding correctly.
Notes on Connecting the DV-90
• Recognition and detection of the USB devices on the PC may take up to 10 seconds.
Be sure to allow at least 10 seconds between connecting or disconnecting the USB connector.
• Do not plug or unplug the USB connector while the PC is in the standby state.
• Do not connect or disconnect other USB devices while the PC is processing the DV-90 con-
nection.
• Disconnecting the USB cable while the DV-90 is in communication may not only erase the
data but even affect the system. Do not disconnect the USB cable while in communication.
Installing the USB Driver Software
Windows 2000
1
Turn on the power of the PC and start Windows 2000. Log on as a user with
administrative privileges.
2
Insert the supplied CD-ROM into the CD drive, and connect the DV-90 and the PC
with the USB cable. Then turn on the power of the DV-90.
Important
When using the DV-90 with the PC constantly connected via the USB interface, vibration of
the DV-90 may cause disconnection of the USB cable or other communication failures. In
such a case, be sure to take action to prevent vibration, or secure the USB cable.
