Connecting the Code Reader
Connect the code reader to PORT1.
When “PORT2 Unit” is set to “Code Reader”, a code reader can also be connected to PORT2.
„ Connecting the BL-700/600/180 Series, HR-50RK/40RK, or BL-210RK/N70RKE
Connect the BL Series directly to PORT1 or PORT2.
The power (5V DC) is supplied by PORT1 and PORT2.
When connecting two code readers, the maximum current of the 5V DC power that can be
supplied from PORT1 and PORT2 of the DV-90 is 1100 mA in total. Ensure that the maxi-
mum current consumption of any of the connected code readers stays under this value.
However, when the ambient temperature exceeds 40 °C, the maximum power current that
can be supplied is 850 mA. Connecting the code reader that exceeds the specified cur-
rent consumption may cause damage to the devices.
The current consumption of the connectable code readers is as follows.
• BL-700 Series : 510 mA or less • BL-600 Series : 330 mA or less
• BL-180 Series : 300 mA or less • BL-210RK : 120 mA or less
• BL-N70RKE : 200 mA or less • HR-50RK/40RK : 200 mA or less
• SR-500 Series : 400 mA or less • BL-1300 Series : 400 mA or less
• SR-600 Series : 630 mA or less • HR-100 Series : 450 mA or less

As the DV-90 supplies no power to the HR-UC51, BL-N9R, and TL-70R, the AC adapter
supplied with the each device should be connected.
