„ ACK/ANK protocol

Use

(06H) instead of PASS in the PASS/RTRY protocol, and use

(15H) instead of

RTRY. The only difference is the characters; the performance of all operations is the same as with
the PASS/RTRY protocol.

„ RTS/CTS protocol

• The sending of data from the DV-90 can be suspended by turning OFF the RTS (CTS of the DV-

90) on the PC. The suspended data can be sent when the RTS on the PC is turned ON.

• In the DV-90, data from the code reader can be accepted while the RTS on the PC is turned OFF.

The data is saved in the send buffer.

Send Data Format

The format of the data to be sent is as shown below.

• Select the appropriate combination of “Header” and “Terminator”.*

* It is possible to use a custom format other than those shown above. Use the SetUp Software

(

Refer to 7-9) to do so.

• The record number and output number * is added in the value, as in the following examples:

001 through 900.......... Record number/Output number for Verify OK
000 .............................. Verify OK (Only when using Step verification)
999 .............................. Verify NG
998 .............................. Select master NG (Only when using 3-point-A verification/3-point-B

verification/2-point verification)

997 .............................. Read Error
* It is possible to change the corresponding output number for the record number by using the

SetUp Software (

Refer to 7-15).

• A colon (:) is placed between each data item. It is possible to change this dividing character (sep-

arator) by using the SetUp Software. (

Refer to 7-9)

Note

• When the amount of data exceeds the capacity (4000 bytes) of the send buffer, the

screen “Snd Buffer Over” is displayed. The operation stops after clearing the send buffer.

Press the

key to recover.

• All commands can be received even while the data to be sent is suspended. However,

the response to a command is saved in the send buffer.
